Electrical resistance
The Ohm (Ω) is the unit of measurement of electrical resistance (R).

In spark plug wires this value amounts to a few thousand Ohms (Ω).

The resistance has the aim of reducing the electromagnetic interference that could be a source of problems with the car’s electronic components.

The presence of the resistors has a positive effect by reducing both the current circulating in the ignition circuit (I) and the voltage (U).
